Hi, We're the Angulos

Last week we were in Cancun. I am getting a lot of flak for taking so many vacations this year. I agree it is beginning to get excessive. At least this vacation I have an excuse for. It was my Grandpa Saunders 80th birthday party! My whole family went. It was bomb. Actually my Grandpa paid for this all-inclusive trip minus the airfare. Seriously! Who does this? One of the highlights was going to Chichen Itza better known as the Ancient Mayan ruins. Caleb had a blast. He thought he was in a real life Indiana Jones movie. Here are some pics. Beware… I like people that I love in my scenic pictures.

We came back from our vacation to some sad news. Someone who we cared for dearly has gone to be with the Lord. Pastor Phil Busbee was the pastor of Bible Fellowship of Riverside when Josh and I were kids. He married us and mentored us. I babysat his kids when they were small. He wrote a beautiful letter of reference to get me into the BAT program. Those who know him will agree that Phil was one of the best pastors and lived out all of his days to the fullest. I have a hard time thinking of another person with as much impact as him. I will include some links for those of you who want to know more about him.

I wish the scanner did this picture justice. Today was the last day of preschool and Caleb brought home all of his art projects in a book format. I was so excited to see this book. Imagine my surprise when I opened it and got to this page, a drawing of Mommy with big boobs and nipples. I asked Caleb what it was, just in case I misinterpreted his art. His response? “A picture of your boobies.” Nice. I can only guess how much laughter his teachers must have had. I guess it must be time to be more modest in the Angulo home. What age did your children start becoming “aware?”
